Have you heard that Drupal.org now has issue forks for Git-based contribution versus patches? This means we can now work in a pull-request style workflow on Drupal.org issues. It's an opt-in beta, and I have not had a chance to work with the feature yet. 

On Sunday I did my first live stream where I upgraded my personal site to Drupal 9. It was a fun experience and I learned a few things – both for streaming and upgrading.

I use the Content Moderation module on my personal site to managed my publication workflow. One of my pet peeves if when I accidentally forget to adjust a blog post's creation timestamp once published. Sometimes it is only a few hours old, sometimes it is a week. I finally sat down to fix this small annoyance.

I write a lot of tests for all of my Drupal code. I try to live by Test Driven Development. It delivers cleaner code. It helps define your architecture without full implementation details. I also despise clicking and manually testing things.

I wanted to take the time to write about an initiative taken by AmyJune Hineline. AmyJune is the Open Source Community Ambassador for Kanopi Studios. She has taken upon herself to work with Drupal camps and make sure they have a Contribution Day sponsor tiers and that a portion of that sponsorship goes to community tools. Through her work, SimplyTest.me and ContribKanban have received funding to ensure they have maintenance and feature development.

Every year I dedicate a block of time to provide new features and improve ContribKanban, beyond regular maintenance to keep dependencies up to date. This year brings some significant changes, which I am excited about!

Heads up! After using this, I have found myself needing to run `gatsby clean` before `develop` or `build` when using this approach.

At the beginning of December, Ondřej Mirtes released PHPStan 0.12! 0.12 brought about many changes. However, 🙃, it broke the PHPStan Drupal extension.

While fiddling with Gatsby, I wondered: what about fetching data from Drupal to push into the siteMetadata array? In the gatsby-config.js API file, you can specify metadata about the site.
