Dooley Framework is a WordPress theme I have developed to help transform the WordPress development process at Dooley & Associates. It provides more sidebar regions - which I call zones, along with built-in widgets. Theme development using the Dooley Framework as a parent has been reduced five-fold.
The Dooley Framework comes with 8 customized zones that can be turned on/off and resized.
Instead of having to edit template files, now theme development can be broken down into widget placement. The theme elements can be created simply using the Text widget or utilizing a handful of the prebuilt widgets I made for the Dooley Framework.

The social icon widget allows us to enter in the client's profile URLs and it will display the appropriate branded icon and links.

Any images that are in the child theme's images folder will appear in a drop down menu. A custom class and link can be applied.

The Dooley Framework utilizes WordPress' built in Header functionality to store the theme's logo. The widget is simply placed in a specific zone.
